Vincent courts Rachel at the same time that he continues to court Angelina correct? I have a theory that even if two sisters were equally in love with each other, Rachel had a more passionate love for Vincent. I’m surprised no one’s tried to branch out muse wise with Angelina being involved romantically with Vincent because of the early years when said Earl was courting both Dalles sisters. I digress!
I believe that during the times of courting, Angelina would meet Vincent in private and from the two stemmed something so incredibly passionate Rachel nearly didn’t end up with Vincent. The two meet regularly when the moon is bright and all other days are spent wooing Rachel. It hurts a little because Angelina seems to be far more infatuated with Vincent than Vincent is with Angelina. Which was why Angelina took such a hard hit from when Vincent chose Rachel.
So, my rendition of their characters is as shown above. From a personal favorite film: Anna Karenina. The scene itself made me think of Angelina and Vincent. So! That’s my little slice of a secret little ship that I have never upon never spoken of. I hope this inspires people to make gifsets of movies they might be able to cut into and make their own assumptions based on character development that occurs behind closed doors!
((I think I disagree– I think Angelina’s love was the more passionate of the two sisters, but that Rachel was more ‘wife’ material then Angelina. In my head Rachel was dutiful, and accepting. Innocent. She was easily mislead and someone Vincent could keep in the dark about his work for the queen. Angelina? He wouldn’t have been able to hide things from her like he could with Rachel. Angelina wouldn’t have accepted being mislead, and was sharp and intelligent enough to see through the lies. </random headcanons>))
